The story
From bingo hall to brewery
In March 2021, NBC29 reported the plan to rezone the closed VFW post, its bingo hall and ball field, for a brewery, a farm winery and pick-your-own, by André Xavier and Jon Craig, the founders of Cville Hop On Tours. Patch opened on Saturday, September 18, 2021, as 29News reported.
The Virginia Craft Brewers Guild has since given Patch nine Virginia Craft Beer Cup awards, from a first place for Bases Loaded in 2024 to a silver for Sea Smoke in 2026. The medals
